This mango is from Myanmar and was introduced to the US along with several other Burmese cultivars by Maurice Kong. After observing a very productive Shew Ya Za Ma tree at the Miami-Dade Fruit and Spice Park in Homestead in 2018, we grafted it to a partially top worked stump May of that year.
The fruit is ovately shaped, yellow at maturity, with firm but fiberless flesh. The flavor is of the Indochinese-hybrid sort.
The tree mananaged to produce a fruit in 2019. It has grown quite vigorously.
Flavor: Saigon/Indochinese hybrid
