IMPORTANT READ BEFORE Make your Grafting Request Order

Deadline for Fall 2023 Orders is May 01st/2023.

Orders will be grafted this Spring, and should be ready in the Fall/2023.

A grafting request is an order for us to produce the specific tree that we don't currently have available in stock. We must graft the tree and then it must go through a multi-month process to heal and grow. Only Once the small tree has completed two flushes of growth since it was grafted do we consider it ready to leave our nursery.

This mango was a seedling of the Lippens mango, selected by Peter and Irene Lippens of Miami, FL. The seed was planted in 1942 and first fruited in 1951. The Golden Lippens was publicized and described by the Florida Mango Forum in the 1950s, but despite its good production traits, it never became a commonly planted variety.

The trees are moaretly-vigorous growers with vertical-orientated canopy, and very good producers. Our tree has produced heavy crops.

The fruit are medium-to-large sized, oval-oblong in shape, turning yellow at maturity. The flesh has scanty fiber, with a mild flavor somewhat comparable to that of Valencia Pride. They have a monoembryonic seed.

Golden Lippens are mid season for maturity and ripen from July to August. It has good resistance to both powdery mildew and anthracnose but is moderately prone to rot fungi.

Flavor:  Classic

Country: Florida - USA
