Preorder: Graft Me a 1 Gallon Tree is an order for us to produce the specific tree that we don't currently have available in stock.
We must graft the tree and then it must go through a multi-month process to heal and grow.Only Once the small tree has completed two flushes of growth since it was grafted do we consider it ready to leave our nursery.
(Estimated time is 6 to 8 months. Some varieties take longer time to growth)
Sometimes this mango is spelled as one word (Nelepetite). It is originally from South Africa, and is a small oblong shaped fruit that turns a crimson red color. The flesh is fiberless, yellow, with a very good classic flavor.
We obtained a tree in 2017 and planted it in 2018. It flowered without us noticing in 2019 and carried its first fruit to maturity and has fruited well since. Nelepetite is a mid-season mango for us, and posseses good disease resistance. The tree is vertically orientated and relatively slow growing, with open canopy.
Flavor: Classic-acidic
Country: South Africa
