IMPORTANT READ BEFORE Make your Grafting Request Order
We are only able to graft twice a year, Late Spring & Late Summer.
- If we receive the order between after September 24th and before May 1st, The trees will be grafted in Spring & should be ready by the end of the year.
- For orders made after May 01st and before of September 24th will be grafted in late Summer and should be ready in the Spring following year, May most likely.
Only Once the small tree has completed two flushes of growth since it was grafted do we consider it ready to leave our nursery.

Orange Essence is an excellent new mango from the breeding program of Gary Zill of Boynton Beach, FL (planting # 40-33). It was a seedling of Kent that may have had Gary as its pollen parent.
The fruit are roundly shaped like Kent, medium sized and turn yellow at maturity. The flesh is yellow, firm yet fiberless and has a wonderfully and intensely rich Gary-type citrus flavor with terrific sweetness (distinct from the citrus flavor found in Lemon Meringue and its descendents). The seed is monoembryonic.
It is a later mid-season mango ripening from July to August. We planted several Orange Essence trees in 2017 for evaluation and they have impressed us with their performance and disease resistance.
