This mango is from India, where it is also known by the name 'Punasa'.
The fruit is small, roundly shaped, and mostly green/yellow at maturity. It is commonly used green for purposes such as pickles and chutneys, rather than consumed ripe. As a ripe mango it has a nice classical flavor with moderate fiber content. The seed is monoembryonic.
In India it is known for having multi crops per year, including in the off-season. It has been promoted as a cultivar for ultra-high density growing in the Andhra Pradesh state.
Our tree managed to produce off-season fruit here in January 2023.
