IMPORTANT READ BEFORE Make your Grafting Request Order

Deadline for Fall 2023 Orders is May 01st/2023.

Orders will be grafted this Spring, and should be ready in the Fall/2023.

A grafting request is an order for us to produce the specific tree that we don't currently have available in stock. We must graft the tree and then it must go through a multi-month process to heal and grow. Only Once the small tree has completed two flushes of growth since it was grafted do we consider it ready to leave our nursery.

Ambika is a hybrid from India named after a goddess in Jainism. It is a cross between 'Amrapali' and 'Janardan Passand'.

We planted ours in 2017 and it fruited well in 2020 and again in 2021. The fruit are oval shaped, medium-sized, and very beautiful with a stunning, eye-catching red color. The flesh is yellow, quite firm but fiberless, and has a very good classic mango flavor with notes of stone fruit. It has a large monoembryonic seed.

It has been a late season mango for us in south Florida, ripening from late July into early September. It has a medium vigor growth habit with spreading, dense canopy. The fruit and flwoers both have displayed good disease tolerance thus far. Ambika may be a mango to consider for those who enjoy classically flavored fruits and want a late season option.
