Preorder: Graft Me a 1 Gallon Tree is an order for us to produce the specific tree that we don't currently have available in stock.
We must graft the tree and then it must go through a multi-month process to heal and grow.Only Once the small tree has completed two flushes of growth since it was grafted do we consider it ready to leave our nursery.
(Estimated time is 6 to 8 months. Some varieties take longer time to growth)
Hodson is an old Florida mango from the Miami area.
Its a small round fruit with brilliant red color. In fact, Hodson is among the most beautiful mangos we grow.
We previously grew and fruited Hodson in Loxahatchee, and later planted a small Hodson tree in West Palm Beach in 2017. That tree has fruited consistently since 2019. The flesh is yellow, fiberless, and the flavor is in the classic group , similar to that of Irwin. The seed is monoembryonic.
The tree has also been very much dwarf-like in its growth habit. It is an early to mid-season mango for us ripening in June and July. The fruit and the flowers have both displayed very good disease resistance for us.
Flavor: Classic
Country: Florida - USA
