We are only able to graft twice a year, Late Spring & Late Summer.
- If we receive the order between after September 24th and before May 1st, The trees will be grafted in Spring & should be ready by the end of the year.
- For orders made after May 01st and before of September 24th will be grafted in late Summer and should be ready in the Spring following year, May most likely.
Only Once the small tree has completed two flushes of growth since it was grafted do we consider it ready to leave our nursery.
(Estimated time is 6 to 8 months. Some varieties take longer time to growth)
We dont really know anything about the origins of this mango, but planted a tree in 2017 for observation. In 2018, the small tree was allowed to carry a fruit to maturity, which didn't seem to set the growth back. Subsequently, after flushing growth, the tree flowered again in the off-season and had 3 ripe fruits in December. The fruit is small, yellow, sigmoid shaped with fiberless flesh that has an Indochinese flavor. Its off-season fruit production made us think it could be Chokanon (though the flavor seemed different), or a related Thai cultivar known as 'Sam Ru Du', but it did not taste like a Thai variety.
At this point it has cropped enough times to say we consider this to be a unique variety with a very good Indochinese hybrid type flavor.
Flavor: Indochinese Country: Florida - USA
