We are only able to graft twice a year, Late Spring & Late Summer.
- If we receive the order between after September 24th and before May 1st, The trees will be grafted in Spring & should be ready by the end of the year.
- For orders made after May 01st and before of September 24th will be grafted in late Summer and should be ready in the Spring following year, May most likely.
Only Once the small tree has completed two flushes of growth since it was grafted do we consider it ready to leave our nursery.

This mango was selected by Frank Adams of Bokeelia, FL in the 1940s. It received some recognition from the Florida Mango Forum during that time period, but never became widely planted or propagated. It had the distinction of fruiting in the spring months some years, hence the name it received.
Its parentage went unreported, but Pedigree analysis has indicated Haden may have been one of its parents. On the other hand, flavor and other traits strongly indicate some sort of Saigon parentage as well.
The fruit are yellow, small-to-medium sized and oval shaped with a raised stem end. The flesh is fiberless and its lovely flavor is Indochinese-type, and similar to that of Florigon and Fairchild but superior. Earlygold repeatedly receives positive feedback from those who try it. It contains a polyembryonic seed.
We planted an Earlygold in 2017 for evaluation as an ultra-early cultivar. The tree has been a moderately vigorous grower with a somewhat vertical growth habit and open canopy. It first fruited in 2019 and has been very well received by customers since. The fruit have high reistance to anthracnose and appear very resistant to Mango Bacterial Black Spot as well.
It is an early season mango for us, but usually more of a late May to June mango rather than April. It tends to have a short season relative to other varieties, with the fruit ripening over the course of only a few weeks, making it relatively easy to harvest. This mango was forgotten by history for reasons which aren't clear, but due to all its positive traits it probably deserves to be propagated in the Florida nursery trade.
