Azucar (which translates to "sugar" in Spanish) is very common in Colombia, where it is grown on some commercial scale for domestic consumption in that country. It is a small, yellow oval mango with yellow flesh containing some fiber, and is quite sweet with a classic flavor. The seed is polyembryonic so many Azucar trees have been grown from seed.
At one point Azucar was featured at the Fairhild Mango Festival when they celebrated mangos of Colombia.
We grafted Azucar in 2019 to evaluate it and hopefully offer fruit to Colombian customers familiar with it.
