(Estimated time is 6 to 8 months. Some varieties take longer time to growth)
This early-season mango was selected by Richard and Linda Wilson of Lantana, FL and named after their nursery. Reports of its parentage have varied between Carrie and Dot, with its flavor profile and aroma strongly suggesting Dot to be one of its parents. The fruit is small-to-medium sized and yellow at maturity. The tree has a spreading growth habit with open canopy and moderate growth rate.
We planted an Excalibur tree in 2018. The tree fruited in 2020 and produced a very good first crop, and has fruited well each year since. The flavor is enjoyable, of the classic group. The flesh is yellow, fiberless and soft, and contains a monoembryonic seed.
The fruit has no issues with disease for us.
