A Pre-Order Grafting Request is an order for us to produce the specific tree that we don't currently have available in stock. We must graft the tree and then it must go through a multi-month process to heal and grow. Only Once the small tree has completed two flushes of growth since it was grafted do we consider it ready to leave our nursery.

Janardhan Passand is from India and sometimes used for pickling, though it is supposed to be very good as a ripe fruit as well. It also has a reputation as a very attractive looking fruit.
We planted our Janardan Passand with budwood obtained from the USDA in 2017 for further evaluation. The tree began fruiting in 2020, and the fruit do not resemble photographs of Janardhan Passand from India, leading us to question whether this is indeed the real thing. The fruit from the USDA Janardhan Passand is small, ovate, and very prone to post-harvest antrhacnose. The flesh is soft, yellow, and classically flavored.
It appears to be a mid-season mango here ripening primarily in July, and with a very short season spanning a couple weeks.
