Kahaluu is a West Indian-Guatemalan hybrid selected in Kahaluu, Hawaii in 1940.
It is considered a very fine avocado in Hawaii though the production is reportedly low.
The fruit are pear shaped and green.
We planted one several years ago and it has grown quite slowly.
Kahaluu produces B-type flowers.
