This is a very old Nizam-era mango from India, where there are still some plantings of it in existence in Telangana state.
The name is sometimes spelled “Mahmoods Vikarabad” or “Mahmooda Vikarabad”.
We know little else about it other than that the eating quality is reportedly outstanding and it is considered a dwarf tree.
We obtained one in 2017, which was planted in 2018. The tree has grown very slowly and likely won't fruit until 2021.
