This avocado, sometimes simply called ‘Marcus’, is probably a Guatemalan type and is one of the largest of the Florida avocados, with some specimens exceeding 3 pounds in weight!
They have a globular shape that can make it look like a big green cannonball.
The trees are vigorous growers, with good cold hardiness (mid/low 20s) and have earned a reputation for being shy bearers.
The fruit has a yellow flesh that has a somewhat mild, subdued flavor.
Marcus Pumpkin produces B-type flowers and matures its fruits from October to November.
