This Nam Doc Mai-type has been speculated to be a cross between Nam Doc Mai and Keow Savoy.
We aren’t sure if this is correct or not, but the fruit has been full-sized and shaped similarly to most Nam Doc Mais, but with a slightly wider shoulder area, perhaps appearing more stout. Its flavor is typical of Nam Doc Mai with honey and floral notes dominating, but Nam Doc Mai Mun's flesh does seem somewhat firmer compared to other Nam Doc Mais.
The tree has a very spreading growth habit. After meandering for several years it finally fruited well in 2018.
